Tim Fox's October Pewpah Caddis Size 8
Tim Fox’s Poopah is a fly that demands to be in everyone’s fly box. These caddis imitations are spot on and are tied to Timmy’s specifications. I have personally fished these flies all over the west and they never fail. From Wyoming to Oregon to Montana, fish love them. We carry the top five poopah colors in different sizes, beaded and non-beaded and in colors Tan, Green, Olive, Cinnamon and October Caddis. All of Tim’s Poopah are tied with real Hungarian partridge, lemon wood duck flank and Tim’s own dyed vernille.
The Dicosmoecus gilvipes October Caddis is tied on a size 8 hook with a big black chrome Tungsten bead to get it down in the water column. I like to fish these deep on a high stick (Euro) rig and let the Poopah swing across the water column at the end of the drift.
