Dry Fly Workshop
Northern California Waters - Yuba River, CA
We proudly offer workshops to help our guests hone their angling skills with hands-on and on-the—water training in a friendly atmosphere.
Our workshops are like a fly-fishing minicamp. Students will enjoy personalized instruction to reinforce fundamental fly-fishing skills and expand their angling knowledge.
These workshops are not just about theory. They include hands-on experience on the water, engaging you in the learning process. You'll feel active and involved in our workshops.
Dry Fly Workshop
The Dry Fly Workshop is a comprehensive exploration of dry fly fishing. We cover a range of presentations, including downstream, upstream, over and up, and high stick, ensuring that participants thoroughly understand this technique.
Lance will break down each presentation and explain when each is best to use on the water. Each student who attends the workshop will build their dry fly leader, which they will use throughout the day. We will also discuss rods, lines, leaders, fly selection, matching the hatch, and using fly floatant properly. Like all of our workshops, we hope to give our students confidence in their new fly-fishing abilities and a meaningful experience on the water.
