Dry Fly Workshop

from $62.50

Dry Fly Workshop

The Dry Fly Workshop is a comprehensive exploration of dry fly fishing. We cover a range of presentations, including downstream, upstream, over and up, and high stick, ensuring that participants thoroughly understand this technique.

Lance will break down each presentation and explain when each is best to use on the water. Each student who attends the workshop will build their dry fly leader, which they will use throughout the day. We will also discuss rods, lines, leaders, fly selection, matching the hatch, and using fly floatant properly. Like all of our workshops, we hope to give our students confidence in their new fly-fishing abilities and a meaningful experience on the water.

Dry Fly Workshop is held on the Yuba River at Hammon Grove County Park, CA.

Our dry Fly Workshops maintain a low student-to-instructor ratio, with one instructor for every three students, ensuring personalized attention. The half-day workshop costs $125 per student and includes rods, reels, flies, and leaders. However, wading gear is not included. A comprehensive Handout is provided to each student as a reference from the morning workshop. Students are welcome to bring their equipment. Please note that a valid California fishing license and Steelhead Card are required for participation.
