Doug's Jigged Root Beer Float
Doug’s Peaches flies have earned a spot in my fly box. These Peaches are tied to exact specifications and come in three great colors. The Peaches & Cream and Strawberry & Cream are designed by Doug Ouellette. The boys at The Fly Shop developed an additional pattern the Peaches. & Green. All of these flies are tied on the Fulling Mills jig hook with a tungsten bead.
The original Root Beer Float is tied to imitate the Rhithrogena morrisoni, Aka the “Western March Brown”. A great fly that is overlooked for the Lower Sacramento River. The more it catches fish the better the fly fishes, love it ragged!
