Streamer Workshop
Streamer Workshop
Streamer fishing is a forgotten art, even though people like Joe Brooks and Kelley Gallop have perfected the technique of fishing streamers for big fish. Learning these secrets will produce more fish and generate a greater understanding of the sport of fly fishing.
While many fly fishers are adept at high-sticking a nymph or drifting a Royal Wulff in pocket water, streamer fishing offers a more comprehensive approach. It's a collective technique that incorporates all others, using dead drift, swing, and stripping tactics to provoke big fish into striking. Once mastered, this practical and effective art provides another powerful tool for any intermediate angler. Our workshop will equip you with these streamer techniques and the confidence to land big fish.
Streamer Workshop is held on the Yuba River at Hammon Grove County Park, CA.
Our streamer workshops are designed for an intimate learning experience, with one instructor dedicated to every three enrolled students. This ensures personalized attention and a high-quality learning environment. The cost is $120 per student for the morning workshop, which includes rods, reels, flies, leaders, and lines. Please note that wading gear is not included. A comprehensive Handout is provided to each student to take home as a reference from the morning workshop, adding value to your learning experience. You are also welcome to bring your equipment if you prefer. To participate, students must possess a valid California fishing license and Steelhead Card, ensuring a community of dedicated and responsible anglers.
