Knowing the “ins and outs” of the insect's life cycle, when and where to fish for them, and how to rig the flies to mimic them correctly is a huge part of our success.
Many of our guests are amazed that they catch more fish while fishing with us than while fishing on their own.
This workshop will teach you all about midge fishing on a lake. We will break everything down for you in an easy-to-understand format with great illustrated rigging diagrams. If you always wanted to learn shallow-water and deep-water midging, this is the workshop you need to attend.
Midge Workshop is held at Lake Almanor, CA.
One instructor teaches Midge Workshops for every two enrolled students. The cost is $170 per student. Rods, reels, flies, leaders, indicators, and lines are all included. However, wading gear is not.
A detailed Handout is provided to the student to take home as a reference from the morning workshop. Students may bring their equipment if they wish. Students must possess a valid California fishing license.
