Holographic Midge Albino Wino Pupa Size 14

$2.25

The Holographic Midge is one of the hottest midges being fished right now. These flies were designed for Pyramid Lake but work everywhere. I've been fishing them at Almanor, Manzanita, Crowley, and other places around the West. These midges are just Chan’s Bombers wrapped in different Holographic tinsels to make them gleam in the water. They are tied to my specifications with a new high-glass finish regime.

These midges are tied as the midge and the midge pupa. The midge pattern should be fish as close to the bottom of the lake as possible, up to 4 feet or so from the bottom. Midge pupae should be fished higher in the water column. They are also multi-colored, with the midge changing colors in preparation for hatching.

Tied on Firehole 718 with Tungsten Beads

Albino Wino is the most popular midge color combination at Pyramid. It is one of my go-to flies on partly cloudy days. On partly cloudy days, this is my go-to fly simply for the contrast it creates; in dark or high light, it works.
