Chan’s Bomber Black & Silver Size 14-18
This Brian Chan fly has become a staple in my midge box. A great fly that has fooled fish all over the world. One of my favorite midges to use at Lake Almanor and Manzanita Lake in all sizes. I use the black and red deep on overcast days and the gray shallow on both dark and bright days. This fly is bullet proof and can be fished over and over again without it wearing out. Tied to Brian’s specifications. This fly is tied on the Firehole Model 718 hook coupled with a tungsten bead. This fly is simple and works.
Chan’s Bomber Black and Silver is a midge that is a staple in all of the sizes. It has a great profile and fish can see it deep in the water column. A great fly at 25 feet deep at Manzanita Lake.
